Vanillamore – Montclair, NJ

Before I begin, I want to preface my statements by saying, this is only a review for the dessert menu. I didn’t try other items on the menu so I may come back to this post at a later date with an update. *coughs. Not sure if I’m all for this place to go back we’ll see. So the dessert menu is almost like tapas so they aren’t full actual desserts, as you can see from the picture. The items that Leah and I ordered were the chocolate obsession, vanillamore, earl grey strong tea, and hazelnut hot chocolate. When you first get into the place, you are immediately met by the host so there’s no waiting area. There was a 15 minute wait for a Sunday which was good because usually it’s even longer. Based on the two plates that we had of dessert, my favorite was the ice cream with the waffle cone and a cake with vanilla or cream cheese icing (on the vanillamore) and the chocolate chip cookie sandwich that came with the chocolate obsession. The presentation and atmosphere was really nice as you have bar seats with a few tables and chairs for guests. I will say this place is very instagram worthy, even though I don’t have an instagram. However, after that, you’re not really missing much honestly with the price that you are paying. Do bring your wallet on this because this will be an expensive meal.
